WTRC Projects

WTRN Working Groups are creating outreach and educational materials on Temperate Rainforests of the World:

  • A four-page flier
  • A quarterly e-newsletter to send out to the network listserve
  • A Powerpoint presentation
  • A coffee table book telling what a temperate rainforest is, where they are and vignettes on each of the great temperate rainforests: the Tongass, Chugach, Great Bear, Clayoquot Sound, Interior B.C., Olympic, Gifford-Pinchot, Mt. Hood, Coast Range, Umpqua, Klamath-Siskiyou, California Redwoods, Valdivian, Tarkine and West Coast New Zealand.

The Markets Working Group is using the combined strength of regional campaigns joined together to achieve markets commitments by companies purchasing forest products from temperate rainforest regions.
