About
the WTRN
In
May, 2003, the first World Temperate Rainforest Conference
brought together environ-mentalists, scientists and First
Nations at the University of Victoria, British Columbia,
Canada.
Conference
participants from temperate rainforest regions in British
Columbia, Alaska, Chile, the Pacific Northwest (U.S.), Argentina,
Australia and New Zealand shared stories and developed strategies
to work together for the good of temperate rainforests and
all life within them. They elected to move forward together
in the World Temperate Rainforest Network (WTRN).
About
the Network
The
World Temperate Rainforest Network is made up of organizations,

of the world work to keep the network functioning and focused.
Six Working Groups provide the organizational structure
to advance the interests of the WTRN:
